Women's Lacrosse Falls In Hard-Fought Season-Opener

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- Lindsay Atkinson and Hailey Schnider each tallied four points, but the Merrimack women's lacrosse team fell 13-10 in it's season-opener against Monmouth at Duane Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Warriors entered the fourth period tied 8-8 before the Hawks scored five goals in the final 15 minutes. 

Both Atkinson and Schnider finished with two goals and two assists while Sophia Ingenito scored two goals with one assist.

Merrimack goaltender Hannah Lawrence finished with 12 saves.
