CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Nationally-ranked Lincoln Memorial proved to be too tough for the Merrimack men's volleyball team as the Warriors suffered a straight-set defeat at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors, playing for the second time in as many days, fell 25-16, 25-21, 25-21 in the best-of-five contest.Â
Max Tkachev finished with a game-high 11 kills and recorded three straight service aces as the Warriors battled hard in the second.
Reece Lindstrom tallied 27 assists while
Dallas Birkenbeuel (eight kills) and
Jack Johnson (four block assists) contributed, as well.
The Warriors (1-6) return to action when they host No. 8 BYU at the Sakowich Center on Monday night.Â
