Men’s Volleyball Wins Third Straight After Reverse Sweep

ORANGEBURG, NY - Merrimack College men's volleyball overcame a two set deficit to defeat the Chargers of Dominican University in a 3-2 reverse sweep.

"What a fight", said Warrior head coach Hayden West-Mather. "We continue to show how much we have grown and our level to compete has tripled since the beginning of the year. These guys started playing as one and from there, there wasn't a doubt in anyone's mind."

The Warriors had the most kills in a match this season with 63.

Dallas Birkenbeuel ended the day with a 18 kill, 14 dig double-double. It is only the third time Birkenbeuel has reached the double-double mark this season.

Max Tkachev hit a season high 22 kills in the come-from-behind win. 22 kills marks a team season high set by Birkenbeuel at Dominican during the first match of the season.

Reece Lindstrom exploded for 50 assists in the win, a feat that he only passed once earlier this season against Dominican. He also added 12 digs, achieving his second double-double of the season.

Kyle Standage paced the Warriors in digs with 17.

Nick Tidik also hit double-figures with 10 kills. He chipped in a solo block.

Blake Taschner added eight kills, six digs, and four assists.

The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday against AIC. Tip off from Springfield is at 7 p.m.
