NORTH ANDOVER, MA-- Merrimack Softball continued conference play with a doubleheader with Iona on Saturday afternoon.
Madeline Arvai opened the scoring in game one with an RBI single,
Abby Choquette scored
Jamie Calkins on a groundout and
Sam Russalesi had an RBI single in the fourth.
Iona would tie the score at three in the fifth and would score six runs in the eighth to take game one.
Russalesi and Choquette both had two hits,
Alex Miller,
Sam Ryan,
Madeline Arvai,
Jamie Calkins and
Caity Lemay had a hit each.
Game two was highlighted by a two run home run from
Megan Miller, her third of the season.
Caity Lemay also scored a run on a sacrifice fly.
Madeline Arvai had two hits,
Alex Miller,
Anna Mitrou,
Sam Ryan, and
Jamie Calkins also got in the hit column.
