Frammartino, DeShiro Lead The Warriors To Game Three Win

FAIRFIELD, CT - Merrimack College baseball defeated the Pioneers of Sacred Heart University this Saturday afternoon 7-2 thanks to multi-hit performances from Joey Frammartino and Matt DeShiro.

Colby Barker earned his sixth win of the season off six innings of work. 

In a five-run sixth inning, both Frammartino and DeShiro had a two RBI double. 

Frammartino ended his day with three hits and a walk, while DeShiro doubled and singled for two hits.

Freshman Garrett McGovern got things going that inning with an RBI single, driving his batting average up to .296 on the year. 

Chris Goode found the bases four times, off a hit and three walks. 

Jayden Hamilton scored the first run of the day on a fielder's choice. Hamilton also tacked on a hit in the win. 

Brooks Craigue had a hit and a sac fly RBI. 

The Warriors end their nine-game road trip at rival UMass Lowell this coming Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
