JERSEY CITY, NJ - Merrimack College baseball won their seventh straight conference game this afternoon, finishing the sweep against the Saint Peter's Peacocks.
The Warriors used a total of 30 hits in two games this Sunday to win 11-3, and 11-6.
GAME 1:
Michael Bradshaw earned the win in relief with 2.2 innings of shutout work and four strikeouts.
Nick Hunkele started the game and went 4.1 innings. Along the way, he struck out out six batters
Both Brooks Craigue and Jayden Hamilton tallied three hits in the win.
Hamilton drove in two runs, while Craigue brought in one and had a stolen base.
Joey Frammartino paced the team in RBI with three. His three hits came with a walk and a stolen base.
Jack Andrews continued his impressive weekend with another two hits and three RBI. He also drew a walk and swiped two bags.
Chris Goode mashed his fourth long ball of the season.
Matt DeShiro, Greg Cristino, and Garrett McGovern all had two hits each.
Cristino led the team with three walks.
GAME 2:
Leadoff hitter Matt DeShiro led the team in hits with three.
Brooks Craigue and Jayden Hamilton each had a pair of hits (one single, one double).
Craigue drove in a pair of runs, while Hamilton walked twice.
Christian Scanlon went deep for his seventh home run of the season.
Jack DePalma had a hit and two walks.
Each batter in the starting lineup recorded a hit.
Before playing their final series of the regular season, the Warriors head up to Orono on Tuesday to face the Black Bears of Maine. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
