EMMITSBURG, MD -- The Merrimack College 4x400 relay team of
Lillian Warner,
Isabella Tomic,
Piper Testa and
Riley Paskow claimed first place in the MAAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, and ultimately lifted the Warriors to a sixth-place finish in the two-day competition.
The foursome edged Quinnipiac by less than a second (3:45.82) in the finals, a finish which accounted for 10 of Merrimack's 73 total points.
Riley Paskow impressed throughout the competition as she finished second in the 400 meters (55.46) and fifth in the 200 meters (24.65).
Isabella Tomic claimed third place in the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.91), about three seconds faster than the fourth-place finisher.
Additional impressive performances came from
Bella Hayes, who placed fourth in the shot put (12.80 meters), and
Marianna Collins, who finished fourth in the 1500 meters (4:36.43).
Piper Testa placed in the sixth in the 400 meters while
Cameron Zuliani finished seventh in the discus throw.
The Warriors had also took fourth in the 4x100 relay behind
Lillian Warner,
Jennifer Baker,
Madison DeCamp and
Riley Paskow while the 4x800 relay team of
Lily Thomas,
Olivia Guckian,
Marianna Collins and
Rebecca Russalesi finished sixth.
