Women's Track and Field Completes Day One of MAAC Championships

EMMITSBURG, MD—Merrimack Women's Track and Field team competed in day one of the MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, collecting four top five finishes.
 
Katie Sills set a personal best in the pole vault reaching a mark of 3.65 meters, good for fourth place.
 
Caitlin Garrahy finished fifth with a mark of 45.05 meters in the hammer throw.
 
Avaline Fihlman and Maci Chapman finished fourth and fifth in the 10,000 meter final with times of 37:52.57 and 38:11.30.
 
Lily Thomas finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:00.49.
 
Isabella Tomic qualified for the 400 meter hurdle final with a time of 1:04.16.
 
Riley Paskow, Piper Testa and Rebeeca Russalesi qualified for the 400 meter final tomorrow with times of 56.06, 56.62 and 58.01.
 
Paskow also qualified for the 200 meter final with a time of 24.80.
