Jack Andrews had a career high four hits and five RBIs as the Merrimack baseball team took down Saint Peter's 16-5 Friday in the opening game of a three-game set.
Andrews also scored three runs as the Warriors moved to 15-10 in MAAC play.
Matt DeShiro had three hits, including a double and four RBIs, while
Brooks Craigue had three hits, scored a run and drove in another.
Merrimack starter James Bosari struck out three in five innings to earn his second win of the season.
The Warriors scored a run in the first and three runs in both the second and third innings to take a 7-2 lead. A three-run fifth made 10-2, and after the Peacocks got a run back in the bottom of the fifth, Merrimack pushed across six runs in the sixth inning.
Merrimack returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. looking to win its fifth-straight conference game and clinch a third-straight MAAC series.
