EDISON, N.J. -- The Merrimack College women's basketball team has a pair of non-league opponents solidified, as announced by the newly-named Metro Conference on Monday.
As part of the first-ever America East-Metro Basketball Challenge, head coach Missy Traversi and the Warriors will travel to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and host Maine during the two-game event. The Warriors first will travel to NJIT, which eliminated Merrimack from the WNIT during the 2025-26 campaign, on Nov. 5 before hosting the Black Bears on Nov. 8.
The America East-Metro Challenge was agreed to in July 2025 and will take place during each of the next two seasons.
