Geloso's Last Second Goal Helps Women's Soccer See Off Maine

ORONO, ME--   The Merrimack College women's soccer team captured win number of 2026 with a last second goal to take a 2-1 victory against the University of Maine Black Bears on Thursday night.


The Warriors got on the board first as they took advantage of Maine's lackadaisical passing in their own end and Lucia Antonucci took the errant pass and put the ball in the roof of the net for her first Merrimack goal.
 
The Black Bears would tie the score in the game's final two minutes, but Merrimack was not to be denied on this night as in the final minute, they took a quick free kick and the ball was quickly moved up the field to Gabrielle Geloso who's inch perfect run stayed onside and she turned in her own rebound for the game winning goal.
 
Up Next: The Warriors return home to face Bryant University on Sunday at 1 PM.
