Beichert and Hamm Score In Field Hockey Season Opener Against Boston University

BOSTON, MASS-- Emily Beichert and Alisia Hamm both scored as the Merrimack Field Hockey team kicked off their 2026 regular season against the Boston University Terriers on Friday afternoon.

After the Terriers opened the game with two goals, Merrimack got on the board for the first time this season as Emily Beichert found the net with the assist to Carly Green.

Merrimack scored their second goal of the day in the third quarter as Alisia Hamm scored her first Merrimack goal with Carly Green collecting her second assist.

Boston University would score twice in the third quarter and once more in the fourth to close the contest.

Audra Szymborski made her first Warriors start in net, making nine saves.

Kayla Whitters made five saves in relief.

Up Next: Merrimack heads to Smithfield, Rhode Island to face the Bryant Bulldogs on Friday, September 4th.
