BOCA RATON, FL – Jocelyn Hammerstand had a career-high 14 kills, but the Merrimack women's volleyball team closed out their participation in the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Saturday morning dropping their final match against the Stetson University Hatters by a score of 3-1.

After dropping the first set 25-18, the Warriors tied the match at one with a 26-24 set win.

Stetson took sets three and four by scores of 25-16 and 25-22 to take the match.

Mckenna Shotwell had a double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs. Ella Maldonado also had 17 digs.

Two players also reached double digit assists with Sophia DeBonis picking up 20 and Elizabeth Kenney claiming 11.

The Warriors next head to Carbondale, Illionis to take part in the Saluki Bash hosted by Southern Illinois University, their first match is on Friday, September 4 against Saint Louis University.
