NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Latizia Bojara pulled out a three-set tiebreaker, but it wasn't enough for the Merrimack women's tennis team as the Warriors fell to Assumption University, 6-1, at Brooks School on Wednesday.
Bojara earned Merrimack its point at No. 1 singles (6-2, 2-6, 10-8) after cruising to a first-set win before pulling out a victory in the third set.
Paris Marozzelli and Bojara teamed up at No. 1 doubles and forced Assumption into a tiebreaker.
The Warriors return to the court in a few weeks as they travel to the Metro Conference Tournament at Quinnipiac University on Oct. 2.
