KINGSTON, RI.-- The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team had three goals from three different goalscorers to collect their first win of 2026, a 3-1 win over the University of Rhode Island Rams on Wednesday night.
The Warriors got on the board first as
Pedro Plantz Baisch scored his first goal of his college career in the 29
th minute, Merrimack would add a second right before the end of the half,
Vlad Grigoryan would score his first in the final two minutes.
Rhode Island would get a lifeline after winning and converting a penalty kick in the 53
rd minute, but the Warriors would put the game away eight minutes later when
Bor Zunec scored with the assist going to
Salvatore Zani.
UP NEXT: The Warriors will come home for the first time this year to play Central Connecticut State next Tuesday September 8
th.
