NORTH ANDOVER, MASS.— The Merrimack women's hockey team and head coach Courtney Kennedy collected win number one on Friday afternoon at Lawler Arena with a 3-0 victory over the Lindenwood Lions.
After a scoreless opening frame, Merrimack got on the board first when Madison Vittands tipped home the point shot from Abby DeAnzeris.

The Warriors would add two more goals in the third period when McKenzie Cerrato scored her first of the season with Vittands collecting her third point in two games on the assist and Maria Lindberg put the game out of reach after stealing the puck on a breakout and scoring unassisted.

In net, in her first start after making 19 saves yesterday, Machala Musty made it five periods without allowing a goal with a 20 save shutout this afternoon.
