Field Hockey Comes Up Empty Handed Against Pioneers

LOWELL, MA — The Merrimack College field hockey team fell to the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Sunday evening from Cushing Field Complex by a score of 3-0.

Senior back Darla Mahoney continued to add onto here already impressive senior campaign with another 2 defensive saves, while freshman defender recorded her first defensive save in the defeat. Junior goalkeeper Audra Szymborski had 9 saves tonight in goal.

Up next for the Warriors is a trip to New Jersey where they will take on another NEC opponent in Rider and look to get back on track in conference play, this Friday at 6 pm.
