Criteria for Merrimack College Athletics Hall of Fame membership:

  • A student-athlete is eligible for nomination after a minimum of nine years following matriculation and must have completed a minimum of two seasons at Merrimack.
    • For the Class of 2024, student-athletes must have matriculated in the fall of 2015 or earlier.
  • A coach is eligible immediately following his or her tenure (retirement, death, departure) and must have served the athletic department in some capacity for a minimum of five years.
  • An administrator is eligible immediately following his or her tenure (retirement, death, departure) and must have served the athletic department in some capacity for a minimum of five years.
  • A team is eligible ten years after its final date of competition as determined by the NCAA championship for that particular sport.
  • Teams/coaches/individuals must have accomplishments worthy of consideration (All-America, national championships, major awards/honors, significant record holders, etc.) and must have brought distinction, honor and excellence to the College.
  • Administrators must have had a direct and significant positive impact on athletics in addition to bringing distinction, honor and excellence to the College.
  • Any individual(s) who, through their hard work, merit and significant contributions, aided in the advancement of the College's intercollegiate athletics program are also eligible for consideration under the special contributor category. There is no waiting period for when these individuals may be nominated or inducted.
