- Gordon took a 2-1 lead into singles play. The Scots won the third flight by default before besting the duo of senior Frank Vega (Lima, Peru) and junior Alex Fedorov (Guilderland, N.Y.) at No. 1, 8-4
- The Warriors salvaged one doubles point at No. 2, where senior Mikhail Belov (Krasnoarmeyskoy, Russia) and sophomore Paul Weidinger (Leipzig, Germany) prevailed by five games, 8-3

- Outside of the match at No. 6 which went to the Scots by default, Merrimack won every other singles match in straight sets
- Vega only dropped three combined games at No. 1 (6-2, 6-1). Belov posted a resounding 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles for the Warriors' second points
- Fedorov clinched his match with a 6-0 blanking at No. 3, while Weidinger collected a 2-0 effort on the day with his singles triumph. After not playing during doubles, junior Alex Slobin (Fairfield, Conn.) won in straight sets, 6-1 and 7-6, to take Merrimack's sixth point
