ALBANY, N.Y. – Behind five singles victories and a pair of doubles triumphs, the Merrimack College women's tennis program won its third straight contest on Saturday with a 7-2 win in Albany, N.Y. against the College of Saint Rose.

NE10 Postseason Outlook
The top-six programs qualify for the Northeast-10 Championship, with the top-two seeds earning byes to the semifinals while the No. 3-4 seeded hosts the No. 5-6 seeds in quarterfinal action. The NE10 Championship begins on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

- Merrimack went into doubles with a 1-0 lead, as the Golden Knights did not use a pairing at third doubles. The duo of senior Mackenzie Blair (Thomaston, Conn.) and junior Lauren Persson (Barnstable, Mass.) blanked their opposition at No. 2, 8-0, to ensure a lead in singles
- The first flight went in favor of the hosts, 8-5, to get one point back entering singles play

- Sophomore Roberta Marcos (Monterrey, Mexico) jumped into the top-six and won in shutout fashion at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-0, to record a NE10 conference win
- Blair played up at No. 4, dropping just a single game in a dominant two-setter (6-1, 6-0) to get the Warriors another singles point
- Eight-game pro-set matches occurred at No. 1-3, with Persson and sophomore Mia Briggs (York, Maine) notching 8-0 triumphs at second and third singles, respectively
- Junior Meredith Wedro (La Cross, Wis.) was credited with the victory at No. 6, wrapping up the scoring for the Navy and Gold
