PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Merrimack College men's track & field team continued a strong start to the indoor season at the RIC Holiday Classic, hosted by Rhode Island College at the Providence Career & Technical Academy on Saturday afternoon.

Top Performances
- Junior Trevor Ciempa (Adams, Mass.) won the high jump at 1.93 meters.
- Sophomore transfer Eric Rosario (Methuen, Mass.) picked up his first win as a Warrior in the 600 meter sprint, with a time of 1:23.30.
- Sophomore Ryan Nesta (Milford, Mass.) won the 60 meter dash, finishing in 7.20 seconds, just ahead of a rookie from Westfield State.
- Freshman Patrick Forrest (Norwood, Mass.) ran a 1.23 time in the 600 meter as well, placing fourth in the event.
- Junior Jacob Robinson (Riverhead, N.Y.) won the 200 meter dash. His time was 22.99 seconds
- The relay team of Forrest, Robinson, Rosario, and junior Michael Cuesta (South Portland, Maine) won the 4x200 relay in a time of 1:31.31.
Up Next
Merrimack will have a month off, before they compete at three different locations over Jan. 12th and 13
th. The three meets will be the Harvard Multi-meet, the Brandeis Invitational, and the Spartan Regional Invite.
