BEVERLY, Mass. – Senior Grace Messina (Caracas, Venezuela) and junior Danielle Dunn (Middleton, Mass.) each posted perfect 2-0 records on the day as the Merrimack College women's tennis program bested Endicott College on Friday, 6-3, from the Bass River Tennis Club in Beverly, Mass.

How It Happened (Doubles)
- No. 1 – Messina and Dunn paired together for the second time as a duo this spring and blazed through the first-flight matchup, never faltering for an 8-0 victory
- No. 2 – Sophomores Mana Seifaei (North York, Ontario) and Lauren Persson (Barnstable, Mass.) took the court at second doubles, but suffered an 8-6 defeat
- No. 3 – Also trotting out for the second time together, junior Mackenzie Blair (Thomaston, Conn.) and freshman Mia Briggs (York, Maine) ensured a Merrimack lead entering singles by collecting an 8-4 lead at third doubles
How It Happened (Singles)
- No. 1 – The third-ranked singles played in the East Region according to the most recent Oracle/ITA rankings, Messina continued her dominance in what potentially was the final match of her career, winning in straight-sets at first singles (6-1, 6-1)
- No. 2 – Persson won 6-1, but also lost by that same margin in two sets at second singles to force a third-set breaker, which Endicott won by a 10-7 final
- No. 3 – Playing in her first singles match this spring, Seifaei won by a 6-3 decision in the opening set before surging forward in the second frame to close the match out, 6-0
- No. 4 – Dunn needed a tiebreak in the first set to best her opponent (7-5), but went on to secure the break she needed in the second to collect the sweep, 6-4
- No. 5 – Blair dropped a two-set match at fifth singles (6-2, 6-0)
- No. 6 – Briggs won the sixth flight by sweeping the contest, 6-1 and 6-3
