SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's tennis program returned to the win column on Sunday afternoon with an 8-1 victory at American International. With the win, the Warriors improved to 3-1 through four Northeast-10 Conference matches.

Rapid Recap (Doubles)
- Utilizing a new lineup for the fourth match in a row, the Warriors recorded a pair of doubles sweeps at the second and third flights. Senior captain Mackenzie Blair (Thomaston, Conn.) and freshman Cassie Restrepo (Miami, Fla.) posted a shutout win at No. 2, 8-0
- Sophomore Roberta Marcos (Monterrey, Mexico) and freshman Abbie Sartori (Amesbury, Mass.) debuted as a duo at the third flight, winning by an 8-0 final
- Junior Mana Seifaei (North York, Ontario) and sophomore Mia Briggs (York, Maine) took the court at No. 1, doubling up their opponents to complete the doubles sweep, 8-4
Rapid Recap (Singles)
- Merrimack won five of the six singles matches, winning at No. 1 and No. 3-6. Seifaei improved to 3-1 at first singles with a straight-set victory (6-3, 6-4) over AIC's top option
- Briggs played up a flight at No. 4 and won easily, 6-1 and 6-0, while Blair returned to the singles lineup and posted a shutout win at the fifth flight (6-0, 6-0)
- Restrepo won her first-ever collegiate singles match at the third flight, impressively dispatching her opponent without losing a game
- For the first time in her career, junior Meredith Wedro (La Crosse, Wis.) played in a NE10 match and won in perfect fashion at sixth singles, 6-0 and 6-0
