NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's track & field team competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic and the Southern Maine Invitational over the weekend, with some impressive finishes.

John Thomas Terrier Classic:
- The distance medley relay team of Niall Coughlin, Patrick Forrest, Connor Murphy and Keith Steinbrecher shattered a school record with a time of 10:03.41. Their provisional qualifying time is eighth on the Division II list.
- Jacob Robinson finished in 22.18 seconds in the 200-meter event, with Eric Rosario coming in with a time of 22.54 seconds. Rosario also had a time of 49.01 seconds in the 400-meter event.
- Connor Murphy also broke his own school record in the 1000-meter event, clocking in at 2:29.65. Forrest also had a time of 49.65 seconds in the 400-meter race.
Southern Maine Invitational:
- Trevor Ciempa won the high jump event, with a 1.99-meter mark. It was a personal best and qualified him for New England's next weekend.
- John Sava won the 5000-meter race with a personal record of 15:47.77
- Travis Hunt and Jake Fogarty were the top two finishers in the shot put, with Hunt coming in first with a throw of 13.50-meters. Fogarty had a heave of 13.11-meters.
- JJ Eseosa Omuemu finished second in the triple jump and long jump events.
- Daryl Loreus had a first-place finish in the 200-meter event, with a time of 23.82 seconds.
- Ryan Nesta had a second place finish in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.10 seconds.
