NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball program will travel to Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday night (7 p.m.), and will be looking for revenge in their second matchup against the Penmen this season. Tomorrow's matchup will be in Northeast-10 Conference play, with the previous matchup at Hammel Court being a non-league affair.
Inside the Series:
- In their first time out against Southern N.H. this season, Merrimack was swept 3-0. The Penmen offense was very efficient, totaling a .421 hitting percentage for the match.
- The Warriors have not defeated Southern N.H. since 2015. During the 2015 season, Merrimack swept the season series against the Penmen, winning 3-2 on the road and 3-1 at home.
Five Things to Know:
- Junior Catherine Flaherty has led the Warriors offensively this season, averaging 2.45 kills per set. She owns 196 kills, and is on the verge of the second 200-kill season of her career
- Freshman Megan Rumenapp recorded a career-high 27 assists in Merrimack's last game against Pace. In just seven matches this season, the rookie is averaging 5.29 assists per set
- Senior Amanda Cain currently ranks 10th in the NE10 in terms of total digs (292).
- Fellow senior Katelynn Marr led the team in kills on her senior day against Pace last Saturday with nine. On the year, Marr boasts career bests in total digs (154) and digs per set (2.14)
- Freshman Brooke Leestma has been effective from the service line for the Warriors with 15 aces and only 10 errors this season. The freshman has averaged .28 service aces per set.
