A Look Back at 2017
- The Warriors enjoyed one of their most successful seasons in 2017. The program went 35-15, the most wins in a single season since 2004, while winning the Northeast Division for the first time in program history. The Navy and Gold enjoyed 19 wins in Northeast-10 Conference play, the most conference wins since 2011.
- Merrimack made a trip to the NE10 Championship finals, against Adelphi. Although the Warriors came up short of a conference tournament crown, they made their 14th appearance in the Division II NCAA Tournament.
2018 Warriors:
- The 2018 roster brings back plenty of familiar faces, along with seven newcomers to the roster.
- Following her most successful season, senior captain Megan Cook returns to the circle to help guide the pitching staff this year. Fellow classmate Courtney Zambello will also be relied upon for the pitching staff. Senior captain Alyssa Williamson, who led the team with a .365 average and 62 hits last year, looks to continue her roll at first base this year.
- Junior captain Nicole Nanof emerged as the starting right fielder last year and will see plenty of action this season. Sophomore Tiffany Mangiameli made an immediate impact at short stop during her rookie campaign and will look to continue that trend this year.
- Junior Caitlin McBride saw action behind the dish for a majority of last year, along with playing at third base and will look to fill those roles this season. Classmate Emily Kurkul also saw time behind the plate. Plenty of the freshman class will be pivotal in the lineup this year, bringing along plenty of versatility to all areas of the Warriors lineup.
