CLERMONT, Fla. – After two weeks off, the #22 ranked Merrimack College softball team heads south to Clermont, Florida this weekend for six games over three days as part of the PFX Spring Games. The first two games will be against Ferris State and Nyack on Friday, March 9, with first pitch set for 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. Fans will be able to watch all of the action through the

Last Time Out:
- The Warriors had a productive trip to Myrtle Beach, going 5-1 on the trip. The first game of the trip against Wilmington (Del.) ended in a dramatic walk-off 3-2 win in extra innings. Senior captain Alyssa Williamson laid down a bunt with sophomore Tiffany Mangiameli on third, scoring the runner. Senior captain Megan Cook pitched a complete game, with a career-high 11 strikeouts. Merrimack then defeated Felician, 5-2, in the second game of the day.
- On the second day of the trip, the Warriors offense produced nine runs in a win over Lock Haven, before ending the second game of the day with a grand slam by junior Caitlin McBride for a 13-5 win over Clarion.
- The Navy and Gold went 1-1 on the final day, earning an 8-3 win against East Stroudsburg, before falling to Concord, 8-2, in the final game of the trip.
'Mack Facts:
- McBride, who was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week (Feb. 19), has 12 RBIs on the year, along with two long-balls. She is hitting .430, while slugging .813. Mangiameli leads the team with a .526 average and 10 hits. The sophomore also has crossed the plate nine times.
- Cook has pitched 13 innings, fanning 16 hitters, while allowing just two walks, on her way to a 2-0 record. Senior Brooke Bogacz is also 2-0, pitching 10.1 innings and striking out three.
- Freshman Bridget Soraghan has made three appearances, two of them in relief. She's pitched 5.2 innings and has nine strikeouts with a pair of saves.

The Warriors return to the Northeast to play a pair of non-conference doubleheaders on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18. The first two games are in Rockville Centre, New York at Molloy, which is receiving votes towards the NFCA poll. Sunday's doubleheader is at Caldwell.
