NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's track and field team earned a second place finish at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday.

Weekend Highlights:
- The Warriors took second place behind host Bowdoin in the event, finishing 21 points ahead of the third place team.
- Three different Warriors earned first place finishes in their events at the Invitational:
- Gabrielle Eldridge won the shot put with a 12.29m throw, after taking third in high jump and hurdles.
- Freshman Samantha LiPetri won the 600m nearly two seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
- Kate Fisher won the 1000m run at 3:04.39.
- Freshman Skyler Bomba took second in the high jump at and third in the pole vault
- The Merrimack relays took spots three to six in the 4x200 relay, with the group of Emma Faivre, Khori Jones, Hannah Link and Berlindah Dure had the top Warriors finish at 1:53.86.
- The 4x400 relay group of Allee Purcell, Bridget Maunsell, Alexandria DiPerri and Faivre finished second at 4:14.33.
Up Next:
The Warriors will compete at the John Thomas Invitational at Boston University on January 24 and 25, with select members of the team competing at the Tufts Multi Invitational on January 24.
