NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team caps its 2019-20 season when it travels to Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College.

The game will also be broadcast regionally on NESN.

Five Things To Know
  • The Warriors turned in their best weekend of the season when they swept a home-and-home series from #15 Providence. Troy Kobryn was the story between the pipes, as the rookie netminder stopped all 30 shots he saw Friday night in a 2-0 win for his first collegiate shutout. Saturday, Kobryn got the start again and made 41 saves, including 22 in the third period, to lift Merrimack to a come-from-behind 3-2 win on senior night.
  • After a three-point weekend against the Friars, Declan Carlile has an outside chance at history against the Eagles. He has 22 points on the season thanks to four goals and 18 assists, which is just three points shy of tying the program's single-season record for a rookie defenseman in the Division I era. Darrel Scoville set the mark during the 1995-96 season.
  • Senior Tyler Irvine's Merrimack career is set to conclude Thursday at Conte Forum, but he's certainly had a memorable final campaign in blue and gold. With his power play goal against the Friars Saturday night, he now has seven on the season to lead the team and puts him in a tie for 13th in the nation in the category. His 27 points through 31 games is the highest for a Warrior since Brett Seney finished with 32 points during the 2017-18 season.
  • Zach Uens and Carlile have been making waves all season long and have already made Warrior history. The rookie defense pairing has combined for 40 points so far this season, which is more on their own than any freshmen defense class in Division I Merrimack history. The freshmen defense class combined has 56 points on the season.
  • The Eagles have been playing some of their best hockey entering the final two weekends of regular season play. They've won five in a row, including a weekend sweep of Northeastern last week. Alex Newhook has won two straight league weekly awards and has 17 points in his last eight games.
