MILFORD, Conn. – The Merrimack College women's golf team put a close on its fall season Monday at the SHU Fall Classic with an eighth place team finish at Great River Golf Club.
For the second straight week,
Prakruthi Sastry turned in the best score for Merrimack, as she finished in a tie for 16th in the 70-player field. She carded an 82 in the opening round Sunday, then had a great final round Monday with a +5 total of 77.
Yiting Pan was just one shot off her classmate's pace, as she had scores of 79 and 81 to finish in a tie for 21st.

How It Happened
- Jacquelyn Stiles turned it around for a round of 80 Monday for a two-day total of 164 to finish in a tie for 32nd.
- Alexandra Tomasso also enjoyed a better Monday, as she had a 13-shot improvement from her opening round with an 83 to tie for 52nd.
- Playing as individuals, Ava Minisolo (96 and 92, 64th) and Janelle Bryant (102 and 99, 67th) also competed and Jordan Laplume finished 68th.
