Doerr, Women’s Golf Team Break Records At Warrior Invitational

Five program records were broken at Haverhill Country Club

HAVERHILL, Mass. – Merrimack College junior June Doerr rewrote the program's record book when the women's golf team hosted the Warrior Invitational this week.

Doerr broke three program records during the event, helping the Warriors to a second-place finish overall.

The native of Hampton Falls, N.H., became the first-ever Merrimack women's golfer to win a 54-hole event since the program transitioned to the Division I level. She finished the tournament a mere 3-over par 219, which was the lowest 54-hole total in program history. The three-day total was a product of Doerr's remarkable 5-under par 67, which served as the lowest round in Merrimack history since the program transitioned to Division I.

Doerr's record setting individual day propelled the Warriors to a historic day for the program, as well. Merrimack's 54-hole total marked the lowest team total since the move to Division I, and the third and final round of the tournament was the team's lowest ever round.
