Cieri Earns NEC All-Conference Honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – The Merrimack College women's soccer team had sophomore defender Abigail Cieri recognized with Northeast Conference (NEC) All-Conference honors on Thursday when the league annouced its all-league teams and award winners for the season.

Cieri represents the Warriors on the 2021 Women's Soccer Second Team All-Conference honorees list. The Matawan, New Jersey native played nearly 1500 minutes as a starter in all 18 of the Warriors games this season. Key on both sides of the ball, the sophomore scored four goals for eight points, while posting 11 shots on goal and 19 shot attempts on the season.

As a freshman, Cieri was recognized on the All-Rookie team and All-Conference Second Team honors. This is the third consecutive year for the Warriors represented on the NEC season list, as Molly Murnane was honored on the All-Rookie team in 2019 in the team's inaugural Division I season.
