CANTON, Mass. – Newcomer
Yiting Pan notched a final round of 73 to lead the Merrimack College women's golf team to an 11th place team finish at the Boston College Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday at Blue Hill Country Club.
The Shanghai, China native played to -2 in her first 14 holes in the final round Tuesday, which helped her secure the top score of the tournament for the Warriors. She also had rounds of 78 and 80 Monday during the 36-hole opening day.
Her three round total had her at +15 for the tournament, which was good enough to tie for 30th against some of the best teams in the northeast.
Jordan Laplume and
Jacquelyn Stiles also played themselves into top-60 individual positions on the final leaderboard.

How It Happened
- Merrimack got off to a hot start during the opening round Monday with a team total of 312, which put them in ninth. Stiles had the round of the day with her 74, while Laplume was not far behind with a 75.
- The afternoon round Monday was highlighted by Prakruthi Sastry, who carded a birdie and 11 pars to break 80 with a 79.
- Pan had one of the top rounds in the entire tournament Tuesday to notch her collegiate best 18 holes in her first appearance with Merrimack.
- Elsewhere for the Warriors, Laplume ended at +25 and Stiles finished at +28 to finish inside the top-60.
- Alexandra Tomasso had a consistent final two rounds with back-to-back cards of 82 to finish in a tie for 66th.
- Sastry responded after a tough opening round to finish at +36 to tie for 71st.
