NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – In its first year as a program the Merrimack College women's bowling team ranked number 25 in the country as announced by the National Tenpin Coaches Association December 15
th poll. It took just three events for the Warriors to be nationally recognized as one of the premier programs in the country.
Merrimack currently has a 15-12 overall record and only has lost once to a team that is not currently national ranked. The Warriors have beaten powerhouse programs such as Vanderbilt University and Sacred Heart University twice. In the last Northeast Conference (NEC) event junior
Olivia Lampkin rolled the first perfect score in school history. The NEC now has four teams that are nationally ranked, and one that is currently receiving votes.
The Warriors get back to action after the winter break when they head down to New Jersey for the Northeast Winter Classic on Jan 20-22.
