NATICK, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team dropped their matchup against the Brandeis University Judges in non-conference play. The Warriors grinded their way through this one, but in the end fell to the Judges 8-1.
The Warriors were led by sophomore,
Jan Semerak, who has now won back-to-back matches in the past two games who captured the lone point for Merrimack.

- The Warriors and Judges got this one going in the doubles bracket. In doubles #1 Semerak and senior, Alec Makay Rodriguez, took the court and set the done for the Warriors. The duo battled their way to a 6-8 final as Brandeis took the first doubles match. In doubles #2, senior, Jonathan Garcia, and freshman, Keita Duclos, got in on the action as they took on Colin fox and Dylan Waters from Brandeis. The duo went back and forth, but the Judges eventually came away with the win while also winning the doubles point.
- On the singles side of things Semerak leaded things off in singles #1. He won the first set and then capped off the second set with another win to claim the first singles point for the Warriors. In singles #2 senior, Andre Singer, competed in a close contest and in the first set the judges took it 7-5 and then Singer ran out of gas taking the second set 6-3. In doubles #3 Makay Rodriguez took the court again, but unfortunately couldn't finish as the match was retired at a 6-2 score in the first set. In singles #4 freshman, Valentin Riveros, had maybe one of the hardest fought matches of the day. The Miami, F.L. native brought the first set to a tie breaker after bringing things to 6-6. The tie breaker set went in the Judges favor as they won it 7-3 to win the first set and then won the second set 6-2. The judges then took the final two singles points from the Warriors to win this won 8-1.

th when they take on the Sacred Heart University.
