NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Dan Curran has stepped down from his position as head coach of the Merrimack College football team to accept the head coaching job at the College of Holy Cross, as announced on Friday, December 15.
Curran will leave the Warriors after 11 seasons as the all-time wins leader in program history. He successfully led the transition to the Division I level including back-to-back appearances in the NEC championship determining game (2022 and 2023).
"Over the past decade, Dan has been a tremendous leader and program builder," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeremy Gibson. "He has developed Merrimack football into an outstanding Division I FCS program and we thank him for his commitment, service and dedication over the last decade."
Mike Gennetti, Associate Head Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator, will serve as the Interim Head Coach of the Merrimack College football team.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
