Jefferies and Ollas Named to Hockey East All-Star Teams

North Andover MA—Alex Jefferies and Hugo Ollas were named to the Hockey East All-Star Teams, announced by the league office of Friday.
 
Jefferies, a junior forward from Lunenburg, Massachusetts who was named to the Hockey East first team has had a career year for the Warriors this season, recording 41 points, (14 Goals and 27 assists) in 34 games played this season. He has also received Hockey East Co-Player of the week awards twice this season. This is Jefferies first appearance on the all-star team, but he also on the All- Rookie team in 2020-21.
 
Ollas, a sophomore goaltender from Linköping, Sweden, has played over a thousand minutes in goal this season, sporting a 9-8-0 record, with a .910 save percentage and a 2.36 goals against average, he's also notched four shutouts on the year. Ollas was named Hockey East Goaltender of the month for November where In a four games stretch, Ollas posted a 3-1 record through the month, finishing with a 1.01 goals against average and a .958 save percentage with 96 saves. He also posted a shutout streak of 170:48. He also captured the Hockey East Co-Goaltender of the week award once this year. This is Ollas first appearance on the conference all-star team.

The Merrimack College Men's Hockey team are set to play their first home playoff quarterfinal game since 2011 on Saturday, March 11 as they take on the Boston College Eagles at 7:30 PM at Lawler Rink.
