Men's Hockey Earns NCAA Tournament Bid, Set To Take On Quinnipiac

The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team has earned an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship, as announced during the tournament's selection show on ESPNU Sunday night.

The Warriors (23-13-1) will face Quinnipiac University (30-4-3) of the ECAC on Friday, March 24 at 5:30 PM at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT. 

The winner will play the winner of Harvard and Ohio State on Sunday, March 26, with a trip to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Fla., on the line.

The Warriors finished the regular season as the number two seed in Hockey East. Merrimack defeated Boston College 1-0 in the quarterfinals in front of a sold out Lawler in double overtime. 

The Warriors then took the trip to the TD Garden and battled UMass Lowell in the semi finals and won in double overtime 2-1. The Warriors fell in the championship game at TD Garden to Boston University in overtime 3-2
