Laskova and Delarbre Representing Their Respective Countries in the Women's World Championships

Brampton, ONT.-- Two Merrimack Women's Hockey alumni were selected to play in the IIHF Women's World Championships being held in Brampton, Ontario, Marie Delarbre '17, who is representing Team Germany, and Dominika Laskova '22 who is representing Team Czechia.
 
 
Delarbre '17, a forward from Fussen, Germany was named captain for the Warriors in their inaugural season as a program and recorded 14 points (six goals, and eight assists) in 57 games played for Merrimack. On the international stage, this is Delarbre's seventh appearance at the world championship and as nine points (six goals and three assists) in 36 career games, and recorded picked up one assist in three games played at this year's tournament as Germany reached the quarterfinals of the competition before falling to Team USA by a score of 3-0 yesterday.

Laskova '22, a defender from Praha, Czech Republic played 67 games over her Merrimack career scoring 31 points in that time (nine goals, 22 assists). On the international level this is her fourth year playing in the world championships and has had past success at the tournament, leading the tournament in goals by a defender with four in 2020-21, and won the bronze medal a year later. This tournament, Laskova  has played five games and has notched three points, all assists. Team Czechia was victorious by a score of 2-1 yesterday against Finland to advance to the semifinals on Saturday.
