West Valley City, Utah— Merrimack Forward
Mick Messner has signed his first professional contract, agreeing to terms with the Utah Grizzlies as announced by the team on Wednesday.
Messner, a graduate student from Madison, Wisconsin recently completed his third season with the Warriors after transferring from the University of Wisconsin. Messner was named an assistant captain for the team this past year had five goals and four assists for nine points in 35 games this season including the game winning double overtime goal against Boston College in the Hockey East quarterfinals. He ends his college career with 130 games played, 14 goals, 17 assists for 31 career points.
The Utah Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche and Mick will look to make his debut tonight as the Grizzlies will face the Idaho Steelheads on April 5
th, and again on April 7
th.
