Amesbury, Mass.— The Merrimack College women's and men's hockey teams had an outstanding showing on the Hockey East All-Academic teams, as the Warrior programs combined for 46 selections and ten student-athletes were named to the Academic All-Star team, as announced by the league office on Monday.
On the women's side, 23 student-athletes were named All-Academic members after they earned a 3.0 GPA or better in both semesters from the 2022-23 academic year.
Emma Gorski, Hayley Chang, Sydney Lynch, Katie Kaufman, Allison Reeb and Ally Qualley also earned All-Star team status, which is given to those that earned a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the year. 13 players were named as multi year honorees.
Katie Kaufman, Emma Gorski and Allison Reeb also earned a Distinguished Scholar recognition as they were named to the All-Academic team four years in a row throughout their collegiate career.
For the men, 23 players earned All-Academic team selections.
Ben Brar, Ottoville Leppanen,
Mick Messner, and
Devlin O'Brien were named to the All-Academic All-Star team as well. 13 players were named as multi year honorees.

Hugo Esselin, and
Mac Welsher were also Distinguished Scholar recognition as they were named to the All-Academic team four years in a row throughout their collegiate career.
Graduate student
Jordan Seyfert also received honors for being a five time honoree on the all academic team, one of only three players in the entire conference to do so this year.
