Rapid Recap
Merrimack came out of the gates strong on both ends of the floor taking an 18-5 lead in the first quarter. It would be the long range shots that we're working for the Warriors as they hit four first quarter three pointers. In the second quarter Merrimack would continue their domination over the Wildcats.
Thalia Shepard was great in the frame scoring major buckets and making some key plays to balloon the Warriors advantage. In the third quarter MC would pack it on going up as much as 23 points on UNH. However, the Wildcats would go on a 17-0 run to end the quarter to draw it closer heading into the final ten minutes of play. The Warriors would never stop playing in this one as they had an answer for every burst the Wildcats threw their way in the fourth. Some big time shots came from
Lydia Melaschenko as well as some crafty post moves from
Madison Roman down the stretch. The Warriors would take care of business in the fourth quarter and grab a double digit victory over their neighbors to the north.
