Rapid Recap
Merrimack was looking to salvage their first weekend of college baseball by stealing a win from the Pirates of Seton Hall.
Michael Dragon started the game for the Warriors in hopes of getting off on the right foot. The Pirates jumped all over the righty going for 7 runs in the first inning. With the Warriors trailing by 7 runs after the first it was tough sledding trying to climb their way back in. Freshman
Brayden Ryan came in to pitch to relieve Dragon after the first. Ryan would deal in his first ever collegiate appearance as he went five scoreless to keep the Pirates attack at a standstill. Merrimack was able to tack on two runs each in the fifth and 7th inning to make it a 7-4 game and pull within striking distance. In the 8th inning, freshman
Michael Bradshaw entered to try to contain Seton Hall. The Pirates would score four more runs putting the game out of reach. The Warriors would drop their third game of the year by a score of 11-4.
