ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack College Baseball team fell in game two of their series with Delaware State
Score:
Merrimack 4, Delaware State 9
Records: Merrimack (13-19, 9-8), Delaware State (11-17, 10-7)
Rapid Recap
The Warriors wanted to put yesterday's hit parade loss in the rearview mirror with lefty
Tyghe Healy on the mound. Healy did his job in the first inning but found himself in a bit of trouble through the next two as he let three come across and Merrimack trailed 3-0 heading into the fourth. The Warriors would then get two back off of the bat of
Hayden Bond as he went yard. The bats would then go cold as no one scored for the Warriors until the 8th inning and by that point the Hornets had added to their lead up 7-2 going into the bottom of the 8th. An
Alex Haba single drove in a runner to make it 7-3 but that's all MC would get until a run was walked in in the ninth as they would lose their second straight game. This marks just the first series loss in their last four for Merrimack.
