Rapid Recap
Brian Murphy has his team rolling as of late and wanted no changes heading into game two of their series with Stonehill. However, it would be a rocky first inning on the mound for freshman Campbell Cassidy when he let three runs come in. Merrimack would strike back in the second inning with a two RBI double for Jacob Albert to draw closer at 3-2. Scoring would go extinct on both sides after that point for a little while with Campbell Cassidy more than settling in. He would finish off 3.2 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts giving up 3 earned. In the fifth, after Cassidy was pulled, Stonehill would go for two solo jacks to make it a 5-2 lead for the Skyhawks. Merrimack's offense would still stay quiet getting one back on a wild pitch in the seventh. In the 8th, it started to click for the Warriors. Braydon Dolbashian would smack a two run homerun to tie it at five and then it would be Chris Goode, in his first at bat of the day, doing special things. The sophomore hammered a three run homer to make it 8-5 in the 8th. Merrimack would not be done yet either with two more runs coming across. MC would get a bit of a scare in the ninth after a three run homerun by the Skyhawks, but ultimately won 10-8.
