Merrimack Earns Back-to-Back NEC Men's Commissioner Cups

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS – Merrimack College has earned back-to-back Northeast Conference men's Commissioner's Cup as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors earned close to three points more than the second-place team in the men's standings. Merrimack finished fourth in the overall school standings with a total of 200.11 points.

"We are so proud of the collective success of our teams that resulted in this award; it is the product of the combined efforts of so many talented coaches, and truly outstanding student athletes," said Merrimack Vice President and Director of Athletic Jeremy Gibson.

Merrimack recorded top-three regular season finishes in baseball, men's basketball and football. The Warriors were the co-regular season champion in men's hoops and advanced to the NEC final. Merrimack also secured a runner-up finish at the men's cross-country championship and placed third at the outdoor track and field championships.

This will be the Warriors final season in the Northeast Conference. Merrimack will transition to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) this summer.
