Men's Soccer Drops 2024 Schedule

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. --The Merrimack College men's soccer team announced their 2024 season schedule on Monday afternoon, The Warriors will begin their inaugural season in the Mid Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) with nine conference games that will begin in late September.
 
The Warriors open their season with two non-conference games on August 22 and August 27 against A-10's Saint Joseph's University Hawks and against The College of the Holy Cross Crusaders of the Patriot League. 
 
The Warriors will open their home slate of games against the Boston College Eagles of the ACC on September 1 at 3 p.m., Boston College won by a score of 1-0 last season when the two teams faced off.
 
The Warriors head back on the road as they take on the Bryant Bulldogs on September 5, where the Warriors will look for their first ever win on the road in the matchup's history, before returning to Massachusetts as they take on Northeastern on September 10.
 
The Warriors return home to face off against the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks on September 14. This is the third straight year these teams will face off, with the Warriors going unbeaten in that span. After a 10-day break to play the Dartmouth College Big Green for the second consecutive season, the Warriors were victorious by a score of 2-1 last year.
 
The Warriors will begin MAAC play on September 28 as they play Mount St. Mary's on the road, Merrimack is a perfect 3-0 in the matchup history, with all three previous games happening in the NEC. Merrimack will then play their final non-conference game against the Harvard Crimson in Cambridge on October 1. 
 
With only conference games the rest of the way, the Warriors will line out against Rider University for the first time in team history at Martone-Mejail Field on October 5, before playing Siena College for the first time since 2022 a week later on October 12. Merrimack will then head to New Jersey to play the Peacocks of Saint Peter's for the first time on October 19, ahead of the home mid-week matchup with Fairfield on October 23. Merrimack will then play their final two road games of the season with the Marist College Red Foxes on October 26 and the Quinnipiac University Bobcats on October 30. Merrimack will then wrap their regular season at home against fellow MAAC newcomers, the Sacred Heart University Pioneers on November 2.
 
The MAAC playoffs will begin on November 10, with the Semifinals occurring on November 14 and the MAAC Championships being played on November 17.
