New Haven, Conn. – The Merrimack College Women's Golf team had yet another impressive showing this week at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic. The Warriors coasted to a second-place finish in as many matches this year.

How It Happened
The Warriors were electric in the SHU Fall Classic this week getting huge rounds from Doerr,
Jillian Johnson (+16), and
Olivia Williams (+21). Strong efforts from Doerr and Johnson allowed the Warriors to top the leaderboard after day 1.
Erika Redmond joined in during the second round recording a team best +1 on the back nine. Redmond went +4 on the day which was a career best. Williams was nearly flawless in third round leading the Warriors to a +3 finish. The Warriors fell 1 stroke behind first place in the day three totals.

- June Doerr paved the way for the Warriors with a team high 6 birdies
- Jillian Johnson had a stellar day 1 back 9 showing with 8 pars
- Olivia Williams finished the second round with two straight birdies
- The Warriors were nearly perfect on the second hole par 3, recording all pars and one birdie.

The Warriors head out to Delmar, New York in two weeks to play in the Great Danes Invitational. The University of Albany hosted tournament will be played at Normanside Country Club on October 12
th and 13
th.
