CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Mia Fiore scored 19 points, but the Merrimack College women's basketball team came up just short in a 77-72 loss at Boston College Tuesday.
Fiore led the Warriors in the matinee matchup making 7-16 field goals (43.8%) as she scored in double figures for the fifth-straight game. Fiore shot 50% from three, sinking three 3's. The Rhode Island native had two assists, two rebounds, and two steals.
Freshman Joi Williams continued her impressive rookie run scoring 16 points making three 3-pointers. Makayla Thomas followed that performance up with her very own Merrimack high of 9 points, shooting 4-6 from the field.
Se'Lah Reddick had a career day leading the team in rebounds while falling just short of a double-double. She finished the day with 9 boards and 7 points.
Molly Manion and Oralye Kiefer matched each other with 8 points, and 7 rebounds. Manion led the team in assists with 4 while Keifer set her Merrimack career high with 3 blocks.
The Warriors return to action December 2nd, when they will head up to Hanover, NH to face Dartmouth.
