Boston, MA — Merrimack Men's Track and Field began their season at the Early Bird Invite at The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday afternoon, picking up three event wins and seven podium finishes.
Elizardo Melenciano won the 60 meter hurdles event in a photo finish, winning by eight thousandth's of a second with a time of 8.492 (8.50 official).
The team of
Brian Gallagher,
Henry Goginsky,
Elizardo Melenciano and
Maddox Merlo won the Mens 4x200 Relay by 14 seconds, clocking in with a time of 1:30.27.
Keith Townsend won the high jump with a height of 1.98 meters.
Nathan Molina also got on the podium with a mark of 1.78 meters.
Grant Eastin finished runner up in the shot-put event with a distance of 14.71 meters,
Kyle Adams and
Owen LaRoss rounded out the Top Five with marks of 13.48 and 13.35 meters.
Nathan Molina finished second on the long jump with a distance of 6.90 meters.
Eastin finished second in the weight throw with a throw of 16.35 meters.
Jared Ptaszek had a podium finish with a 15.76 meter throw,
Jude Ibarra also finished in the top five, reaching 14.60 meters.
Samuel Charrette placed ninth in the 300-meter dash with a mark of 36.27.
